(Photo: PRNewsFoto\/Country Living) <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>From Green Right Now Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Country Living <\/em>magazine today announced it will go energy-conscious with its 2010 House of the Year building project \u00a0&#8221;Home Green Home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Developed by New World Home and designed by the <em>Country Living<\/em> editors, the house will showcase &#8220;green&#8221; products and features for every room. The magazine said the house will be built and temporarily set in New York City at the World Financial Center.<\/p>\n<p><em>Country Living<\/em> said it will host an event unveiling the  House of the Year on\u00a0<span>June 3<\/span>,\u00a0and will open its doors to the public <span>June 4th<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year,  Hearst Brand Development partnered with New World Home to introduce the  <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newworldhome.com\/countryliving\" >Country Living<\/a><\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newworldhome.com\/countryliving\" > Collection<\/a>, a collection of historically inspired  modular homes featuring USGBC LEED Certification. The collection is aimed offering consumers attainable green living coupled with classic country style.  The 2010 House of the Year, aptly named the &#8220;Hudson&#8221; cottage as it will  be built on the shores of the Hudson River near New York Harbor, will be  available for any <em>Country Living<\/em> reader to purchase across the  country, an option that has never been available to readers before, the magazine said.<\/p>\n<p>The 1,600 square foot  &#8220;Hudson&#8221; cottage will be featured in the <span>November  2010<\/span> issue of <em>Country Living <\/em>magazine. All of the  interior and exterior details were selected by the  magazine&#8217;s editors. Interior designer <span>Katie  Ridder<\/span> will decorate the home with green furnishings and an  emphasis on bold color. With 2 bedrooms and 2 1\/2 baths, the home  features a 1,100-square-foot wrap-around porch and an open floor plan  that fully integrates the greenest products and practices available  today.<\/p>\n<p><em>Country Living<\/em>&#8217;s  2010 House of the Year will be open to the public <span>June 4th-June 16th<\/span>, Monday-Friday 11-5, Saturday  and Sunday 9-6 and <span>Thursday June 17th<\/span> 10-2 at The World Financial Center. Tickets are free. Following the open  house the home will move to Crystal Springs Resort near <span>Vernon, N.J.<\/span> where it will become a permanent  Country Living Green Modular Home design center.<\/p>\n<p><em>Country Living <\/em>said it will donate\u00a0<span>$5,000<\/span> to benefit National  Parks off the New York Harbor Conservancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A rendering of &#39;Country Living&#39; magazine&#39;s 2010 House of the Year.
