We’re fitting in this tip late on Monday because it’s meant for beginners only. If you’ve been using your BlackBerry for a while, you clearly know how to add a contact. If you’re looking for an answer, there are a couple of ways.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Create from scratch<\/h4>\n

To create a brand new contract from scratch, open your Address book. The top option says New Contact. Click that and you’ll have a blank contact form, which you can fill in with all of the relevant information.<\/p>\n

From a message<\/h4>\n

You can also add contacts from your messages list or call log. <\/p>\n

For a message, you’ll have to open the message, then scroll over the contact’s email address or phone number (depending on whether it’s an email or SMS). Once it’s highlighted press the Menu button, and then scroll down and select Add to Contacts. You’ll see the contact form, complete with the selected contact information.<\/p>\n

From your call log, you can highlight the appropriate number, hit Menu, and select Add to Contacts. <\/p>\n

From a vCard<\/h4>\n

You can create vCard files from most email programs and load them directly onto your BlackBerry. Just email them to yourself, or have someone email one to you, download it, and then it will add to your contacts. You can read more about vCards here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other than syncing, those are the ways to add contacts to your BlackBerry. <\/p>\n
