{"id":567399,"date":"2010-05-17T21:30:06","date_gmt":"2010-05-18T01:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sevensidedcube.net\/?p=10815"},"modified":"2010-05-17T21:30:06","modified_gmt":"2010-05-18T01:30:06","slug":"iran-still-awaits-sanctions-after-agreeing-to-the-nuclear-fuel-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/567399","title":{"rendered":"Iran Still Awaits Sanctions after agreeing to the Nuclear Fuel Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite <strong>Iran<\/strong> signing a <strong>uranium deal<\/strong> with <strong>Turkey<\/strong> and <strong>Brazil<\/strong>, the <strong>US<\/strong> announced that it will move ahead with its press for sanctions against Iran.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sevensidedcube.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/IranTurkey-Brazil.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-10814\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sevensidedcube.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/IranTurkey-Brazil-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Last October the deal proposed to <strong>Teheran<\/strong> by the P5+1 (US, France, UK and China plus Germany), was similar to the signed deal with Turkey and Brazil. The deal stated that Iran would send enriched uranium to Russia and would be returned as fuel rods that could not be used for nuclear weapons; however Iran opted not to agree with the deal. In the signed deal of Iran with Turkey and Brazil, it was noted that the same amount of uranium stated in the deal last October will be shipped to Turkey and be returned to Iran as research reactor that is designed only to produce radioactive isotopes for treating cancer. Iran stated today that it would continue its <em>20 percent enrichment<\/em>, with was a direct violation of the <strong>UN Security Counci<\/strong>l resolutions. <strong>Robert Gibbs<\/strong>, the <strong>White House<\/strong> spokesman, said that shifting nuclear fuel off Iranian soil would be a welcome step; but, Iran would have to give up any further nuclear enrichment and abide by existing UN Security Council resolutions for the dealt to be taken seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Also in the seven months that Iran had not signed with the deal proposed by US, Iran also has processed sufficient extra fuel to give it a \u201cbreakout capability\u201d which is enough to make a nuclear bomb even after they will send 1,200 kg of uranium in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian Foreign Minister <strong>Manouchehr Mottaki<\/strong> also stated that Iran has the right to call on Turkey to return the uranium \u201cswiftly and unconditionally\u201d back to Iran if any of the provisions in the agreement were not followed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat this proposal signifies is less than what they agreed to last October,\u201d Gibbs said.<\/p>\n<p>No related posts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/sevensidedcube\/OXLF\/~4\/NMbQF3fbauc\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Despite Iran signing a uranium deal with Turkey and Brazil, the US announced that it will move ahead with its press for sanctions against Iran.
