After a day of that event<strong>,<\/strong><strong> 60 controversial<\/strong> <strong>precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines<\/strong> that was believed to have been used to commit poll fraud, left the <strong>Ynares<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Center<\/strong><strong> in <\/strong><strong>Antipolo<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>City<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>These PCOS have been sent to the Senate to be investigated. These machines were guarded heavily by atleast <strong>400 police<\/strong> and military escorts and a mere <strong>100 cars and 4 buses<\/strong> were used to deliver this controversial package.<\/p>\n<p><!-- AdSense Now! V1.90 --><br \/>\n<!-- Post[count: 2] --><\/p>\n<div class=\"adsense adsense-midtext\" style=\"float:left;margin: 12px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-0705872009880607\";\n\/* 336x280, created 2\/24\/10 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"4440161719\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 336;\ngoogle_ad_height = 280;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>The <strong>COMELEC<\/strong> had asked the Senate to act as custodian of the controversial machines, earlier erroneously reported as a total of 67 units, which were used in the country&#8217;s first nationwide automated polls. The move will ensure that the machines will be <em>&#8220;safeguarded and will not be tinkered with, tampered with by unauthorized individuals,&#8221;<\/em> <strong>Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal <\/strong>told reporters that <em>&#8220;What is important is that the machines should not be touched or the boxes should not be opened because [they were] sealed by the<strong> Board of Election Inspectors.&#8221;<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Because of these occurrences, supporters of losing <strong>mayoral candidate Angelito Gatlabayan, presidential candidates Sen. Maria Anna Consuelo Madrigal, Olongapo Councilor John Carlos de los Reyes, and environmentalist Nicanor Perlas <\/strong>forcibly entered the storage room and asked their technicians to open the machines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Smartmatic<\/strong> on the other hand wants to file criminal charges against Sen.
