{"id":569377,"date":"2010-05-19T00:25:50","date_gmt":"2010-05-19T04:25:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sevensidedcube.net\/?p=11190"},"modified":"2010-05-19T00:25:50","modified_gmt":"2010-05-19T04:25:50","slug":"toyota-over-reacting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/569377","title":{"rendered":"Toyota Over Reacting?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sevensidedcube.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/toyota-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-11191\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sevensidedcube.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/toyota-logo-300x215.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)<\/strong> is investigating four suspicious packages that were sent to\u00a0Toyota Motor Corp U.S. facilities\u00a0in the past week that were later found not to contain threatening.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;This package is similar to other suspicious packages mailed to our corporate office in <\/em><em>Erlanger<\/em><em>, <\/em><em>Kentucky<\/em><em>, on Friday and our <\/em><em>West   Virginia<\/em><em> and <\/em><em>Texas<\/em><em> plants on Monday. All of these packages were found to be non-threatening,&#8221;<\/em> <strong>Toyota<\/strong><strong> spokeswoman Kelly Dillon<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<p>It bore a handwritten originating address from Nigeria, just like the other three packages, said <strong>Gibson County Chief Deputy Sheriff George Ballard<\/strong>. A postal inspector called it a &#8220;hoax device,&#8221; Princeton police detective <strong>Sgt. Mike Hurt<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n<p>The automaker evacuated its North American manufacturing headquarters in<strong> <\/strong><strong>Kentucky<\/strong> on Friday after a suspicious package was found in the mailroom. The brief evacuation ended after officers determined the package was not a threat. Similar packages were also delivered to Toyota plants in\u00a0West Virginia\u00a0and Texas but neither of the two plants conducted evacuation procedures. The fourth package was intercepted at a post office in <strong>Princeton<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>Indiana<\/strong><strong>, near a <\/strong><strong>Toyota<\/strong><strong> manufacturing plant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The<strong> <\/strong><strong>Princeton<\/strong> incident is being investigated by the FBI, the <strong>Indiana State Police<\/strong> and the postal inspector in <strong>Evansville<\/strong>, state police spokesman <strong>Sgt. Todd Ringle<\/strong> said.
