(Hit this link for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/davidkirkpatrick.wordpress.com\/?s=sculptcad+rapid+artist\" >all posts related to the project<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Shane is a contemporary artist in Dallas, Texas.\u00a0 He has exhibited his work internationally in Sydney, Australia at the Paddington Contemporary Gallery and domestically at Gallery Works in Aspen, Colorado, HCG Gallery in Dallas, and his own SP Studio in Dallas, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you get involved with the RAPID Artists project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\">I met Nancy Hairston at one of my art exhibits.\u00a0 She liked my work and asked me to participate in the SculptCAD RAPID Artists Project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:small;\">Is this your first experience with 3D\/digital sculpting technology and tools?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\">Yes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:small;\">How have these technologies changed the way you approach your process?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\">The technology has expanded my creative process because it has given me immediate access to materials and design in a virtual world.\u00a0\u00a0 Such an expansive library of options has expanded my thought process as well.\u00a0 Many of the functions in the software allow you to create structures and shapes that would not be easy to create on a standard project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:small;\">Are these digital tools having an effect on the work you are creating? Are the tools aiding\/adding to\/hindering the process?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\">I have had a positive experience using the digital tools.\u00a0 I did not know what to expect but as I became more familiar with the software, I was also becoming more cognizant of what tools and options I had at my fingertips.\u00a0 The possibilities seem limitless.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:small;\">What are your thoughts on the SculptCAD Rapid Artists Project?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\">I think it was an amazing project and experience.\u00a0 I plan on using this technology more in my work now and in the future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:small;\">Looking beyond the project, what do you have coming up in the near future art-wise?
