In the year to date, car production is 64.9% higher when compared to the same period a year ago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In a statement, SMMT CEO Paul Everitt said that the second quarter of 2010 is off to a \u201cgood start\u201d as the April output is up across the car, commercial vehicle and engine sectors when compared to the same period last year.
