Dubbed the Oyster 2, this wave power device is a buoyant, hinged flap which is attached to the seabed to capture energy found in nearshore waves and converts it into clean sustainable electricity.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The 85 feet long and 53 feet wide Oyster 2 will be built in Scotland this summer and is said to be capable of generating 800 kilowatts of energy. The Scottish company will begin testing these hydro-electric generators in Scotland next year.
