On the other hand, General Motors and Nissan are enjoying an increase in sales from a month earlier.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Toyota&#8217;s incentive program is falling on deaf ears. Most people who were open to getting deals from Toyota already made their purchases,&#8221; said Edmunds.com Senior Analyst Jessica Caldwell. &#8220;Toyota has not yet recovered from recent image problems.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>GM&#8217;s sales are up 9 percent during the beginning of May when compared to April and up 24 percent from May 2009.
