It also marks the end of the winter season and the unofficial start to the summer season.<\/p>\n<p>The Royal Union Flag must be flown from sunrise to sunset at all federal buildings, including airports, military bases, and other Crown owned property across the country during Victoria Day. There are evening fireworks display and parades in some cities. Many people gather in parks to enjoy this wonderful celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Victoria Day is regarded as a public holiday at a national level. Schools are closed and people have a day off. Some stores are also closed during that day. Malls, theme parks and museums are open for visitors.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a fireworks display in Toronto.
