This &#8220;glitch&#8221; shows itself when taking photos, videos, and while video chatting\/streaming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-15584\" href=\"http:\/\/www.androidguys.com\/2010\/05\/26\/evos-frontfacing-camera-shows-mirrored-image-tsk-tsk\/evo-4g-flipped\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-15584 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.androidguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/EVO-4G-Flipped.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"273\" \/><span id=\"more-15580\"><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When video chatting with Skype, for example, the program will show you  as a mirror image to yourself (since people are used to looking in the  mirror) , but to the person you&#8217;re speaking with, it will show you  normally, as you&#8217;d appear if he or she was looking right at you.  However, on the EVO, you still show up as a mirror image to your friend. This is very strange behavior for a camera. You can see exactly what I&#8217;m talking about if you watch my video of Qik in action (pay attention to when the guy swipes his hand up and down when demonstrating the delay).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.androidguys.com\/2010\/05\/26\/evos-frontfacing-camera-shows-mirrored-image-tsk-tsk\/\"><em>Click here to view the embedded video.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>When you use the camera on the back of the phone, images and videos come out normally. Why should the front-facing one be any different? Since the problem exists in both the camera app as well as Qik, it&#8217;s safe to say that the problem is due to a software issue on HTC&#8217;s part. As far as we know, there&#8217;s no way to manually flip it back to normal.
