Stripping out the inventory effect, real sales of domestic product rose 1.4%, compared to 1.7% in the fourth quarter of 2009.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BEA:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Real gross domestic product &#8212; the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States &#8212; increased at an annual rate of 3.0 percent in the first quarter of 2010, (that is, from the fourth quarter to the first quarter), according to the &#8220;second&#8221; estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
