Poor Garth Brooks! The country superstar and married father has been named the proverbial “Other Man” in a brewing divorce battle between a warring Connecticut couple — even though he’s never met the woman involved!<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n In legal papers filed in the State of Connecticut Superior Court last July, a man claims his estranged wife used Garth’s name to make his jealous and destroy his relationship with the couple’s young son.<\/p>\n “My wife would leave the house for periods of time indicating that she was ‘going to meet Garth,’ referring to Garth Brooks, the country music singer. She claimed to be contacting him by e-mail, cell phone and in person.”<\/em><\/p>\n The woman at the center of the divorce battle, however, has disputed her accusations that she is obsessed with Garth.<\/p>\n “I have never met Garth Brooks. My husband was also doing drugs, and when I found out, I stopped letting him see my son. That’s when they cooked up this rumor I was having an affair with Garth Brooks. The court papers show that nothing was ever brought up about me havingan affair with Brooks because those claims are completely baseless,”<\/em> she fumed in The National Enquirer’s<\/em> June 7 issue.<\/p>\n Garth has been married to fellow country star Trisha Yearwood since 2005.<\/p>\n Poor Garth Brooks!
