What a thrilling time this must be for Milwaukee fans! <\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Hoffman pitched a scoreless seventh inning in the Brewers&#8217; 5-0 loss to the Astros. He allowed a single to <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/mlb\/players\/7963\/\">Hunter Pence<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/mlb\/players\/7963\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_mlb.p.7963\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> and a walk to the <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/mlb\/players\/6279\">Big Puma<\/a>, but managed to escape with his dignity. He did not record a strikeout.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>These were <a href=\"http:\/\/brewersbeat.mlblogs.com\/archives\/2010\/05\/hoffman_could_resume_closer_du.html\">Macha&#8217;s postgame comments<\/a>, via the Journal Sentinel:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Manager Ken Macha said Tuesday he might give Hoffman one more outing<br \/>\nbefore moving him back to ninth-inning duty. But after the game tonight,<br \/>\n Macha was non-committal about that situation.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;That is two good outings in a row,&quot; said Macha. &quot;I&rsquo;ll talk to him<br \/>\ntomorrow and see how he feels about himself.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It seems pretty unlikely that Hoffman will say to his manager, &quot;I&#8217;m cooked. I&#8217;m 42.
