Meanwhile, the South African market overall is expected to increase by 20% in 2010 to 310,000 vehicles. There was an earlier forecast for sales of 290,000 cars. VW is relying on demand for the new Polo Vivo compact and Amarok pickup truck <span id=\"more-41789\"><\/span> to achieve its goal of growing faster than the market. Last year, VW had overtaken Toyota Motor Corp.\u2019s sales to become the biggest carmaker in South Africa.
