{"id":639874,"date":"2012-07-12T08:24:00","date_gmt":"2012-07-12T13:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/serkadis.com\/index\/?guid=e389ab91a5206ec1896cfb5c34e34796"},"modified":"2012-07-12T08:46:46","modified_gmt":"2012-07-12T13:46:46","slug":"new-antiquities-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/639874","title":{"rendered":"New antiquities project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\" trbidi=\"on\"><a href=\"http:\/\/213.158.162.45\/~egyptian\/index.php?action=news&amp;id=26640&amp;title=New%20antiquities%20project\" >Egyptian Gazette<\/a> (Amina Abdul Salam) &nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\"><p>A number of archaeologists have launched a project to develop archaeology in Egypt to be carried out by the new government, according to MENA. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The project, which was launched under the title, \u2018Egyptian Antiquities\u2019 Renaissance Project \u2018 includes a plan to develop archaeology to occupy a prestigious position as one of the state\u2019s main economic sources, said Mohamed Abdel- Maqsoud ,deputy chairman of the Egyptian antiquities sector.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims at changing the technique of work in this field that should&nbsp; controlled&nbsp; by a specialised&nbsp; state security body to protect Egypt\u2019 monuments and archaeological heritage .<\/p>\n<p>Abdel-Maqsoud noted that the antiquities sector is facing financial problems due to the reduced number of tourists visiting Egypt&nbsp; during the last couple of years.
