And thus, he began work on a project called 1 Second Everyday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/cesar_kuriyama_one_second_every_day.html\" class=\"video_teaser\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.ted.com\/images\/ted\/5ed106dbb19d2130090a23e6a3392151df3d1fae_240x180.jpg\" alt=\"Cesar Kuriyama: One second every day\" width=\"132\" height=\"99\" \/>Cesar Kuriyama: One second every day<span class=\"play\"><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, I\u2019m recording one second of every day of my life for the rest of my life\u2014chronologically compiling these one-second, tiny slices of my life into one single continuous video,\u201d says Kuriyama in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/cesar_kuriyama_one_second_every_day.html\">today\u2019s talk<\/a>. Why? \u201cI hate not remembering things that I\u2019ve done in the past,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>When Kuriyama turns 40, he\u2019ll have a one-hour video encapsulating his 30s. And when he turns 80, he\u2019ll have a five-hour video spanning 50 years. In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/cesar_kuriyama_one_second_every_day.html\">this talk<\/a>, he reveals what he recorded in the first 365 days of the project &#8212; both the glorious and the painful.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, Kuriyama was curious what others would do with this tool.
