It was specifically tailored to ecommerce and product sites. Here&#8217;s a look: <\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"616\" height=\"347\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gj7qrotOmVY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p>In mid-2010, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webpronews.com\/google-introduces-new-version-of-commerce-search-2010-06\">Google introduced version 2.0<\/a> with some new features: <\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"616\" height=\"347\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/snl1SM4KWz8\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p>In 2011, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webpronews.com\/google-commerce-search-refresh-2011-03\">another refresh was announced<\/a>: <\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"616\" height=\"347\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nje9fUcIkKc\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Now, without an actual announcement, Google has shut the product down. <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2013\/02\/14\/google-quietly-shutters-commerce-search-for-e-retailers\/\">TechCrunch shares a statement<\/a> from a Google spokesperson: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We are making a strategy shift towards offering more flexible, easier to adopt modules for retailers, such as the Search As You Type widget, rather than a full site search replacement and therefore will no longer be offering Google Commerce Search as a core site search replacement product.
