Last month Google held a <\/span>Project Glass hackathon<\/a> event in San Francisco and in a recent Google+ blog post, the tech giant let us in on a couple of details and a handful of images of the event. Members of the event included those who had signed up for the Glass Explorer Program at Google I\/O 2012. It’s no surprise there were a lot of people that signed up after the\u00a0stunning demonstration of Project Glass<\/a>\u00a0at the same conference.\u00a0According to the post, the event was called Glass Foundry and was held over the course of two days.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> From the two days, 80 new ways of using Project Glass were developed according to the post.\u00a0Out of the eight teams formed, one was the grand prize winner for the hackathon and they won the cost of their Glass Explorer Edition kit while the remaining seven earned honorary pioneer credits for the final release of Project Glass.<\/p>\n

Google is still keeping quiet about the API’s themselves but were kind enough to include several images of the event. Google also says it hopes to hold more Foundry events in the future which means even more ways in which consumers can utilize Project Glass.
