Earlier this afternoon, the account was hacked and began suggesting that the company had been sold to McDonalds. The hackers even changed the logo and header photos to enrich the joke. <\/p>\n<p>Four nearly a half an hour, the hackers maintained control of the account, sending out some nonsensical\/obscene tweets, links to rap videos, and the like. As of right now, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BurgerKing\">the account has been suspended<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.ientry.com\/sites\/webpronews\/article_pics\/burghack1.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"546\" height=\"481\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.ientry.com\/sites\/webpronews\/article_pics\/burghack2.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"547\" height=\"497\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other tweets included &#8220;Try our new BK Bath Salt 99% Pure MDPV! Buy a Mig Mac, get a gram free!&#8221; and &#8220;We caught one of our employees in the bathroom doing this,&#8221; which linked to a picture of a guy shooting up. <\/p>\n<p>Early on, online hacktivist group Anonymous took responsibility for the hack, called it #OpMadCow. McDonald&#8217;s, as you may know, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webpronews.com\/mcdstories-social-marketing-gone-bad-and-dirty-2012-01\">no stranger to having bad days on Twitter<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p>We empathize with our @<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/burgerking\">burgerking<\/a> counterparts.
