There are a number of other features such as passenger mirrors and electroluminescent hubcaps for night visibility, but the most interesting of them all is the adjustable aerodynamics.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2009\/12\/05\/laminar-2_3_IyHSa_69.jpg\" alt=\"laminar 2_3\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Conventionally, cars with fixed aerodynamics are designed to have a degree of down force in their aerodynamic profile. This down force keeps the car on the ground and improves traction through cornering. Unfortunately, it is almost always at the cost of aerodynamic drag, which makes the car slower and less efficient. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2009\/12\/05\/laminar-2_4_vR857_69.jpg\" alt=\"laminar 2_4\"\/><\/p>\n<p>With adjustable aerodynamics, Laminar 2 can have the best of both worlds, an extremely efficient streamline aerodynamics, and the ability to revert to down force for safe cornering.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2009\/12\/05\/laminar-2_5_ynikd_69.jpg\" alt=\"laminar 2_5\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Laminar 2 handles the aerodynamics of the car using a rotating front wing, allowing it to cut through the air in a more efficient way. When the front wing is at the 40 degree position, the front facing profile of the car is drastically changed, and oncoming air is directed upward, creating the down force needed for safer cornering.  <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2009\/12\/05\/laminar-2_6_c6vu1_69.jpg\" alt=\"laminar 2_6\"\/><\/p>\n<p>However, when driving on a freeway, down force would be a hindrance, as it would significantly increase the car\u2019s aerodynamic drag. In this situation the front wing can rotate to a 0 degree position (parallel to the road) reducing the aerodynamic drag on the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.instablogsimages.com\/images\/2009\/12\/05\/laminar-2_7_Dzjl1_69.jpg\" alt=\"laminar 2_7\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The rest of the car body is designed to help channel airflow around the car much like a racing car body (which is why the driver sits up front center with the two passengers behind).
