One option the company seemingly explored in its efforts to bring a new service to market was a cooperative effort with <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/beats\">Beats<\/a> Electronics. According <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/2013\/03\/06\/us-apple-music-idUSBRE92506120130306\">to <em>Reuters<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/apple\">Apple<\/a> executives held talks with Beats boss Jimmy Iovine to discuss partnering on a subscription-based streaming music service. Beats recently announced its <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/01\/10\/beats-audio-music-streaming-service-288348\/\">Project Daisy music subscription service<\/a>, but did not provide many details so it may be possible that discussions are ongoing.
