And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comscore.com\/Insights\/Press_Releases\/2013\/3\/comScore_Reports_January_2013_U.S._Smartphone_Subscriber_Market_Share\">the latest numbers from comScore show<\/a> that the launch of the iPhone 5 has helped Apple&#8217;s iOS gain some ground on <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/google\">Google&#8217;s<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=goog\">GOOG<\/a>) rival <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/android\">Android<\/a> operating system. According to comScore, iOS took a 37.8% market share in January 2013, an increase of 3.5 percentage points from its 34.3% market share in October 2012.
