Back in September, Vimeo launched their new Creator Services suite<\/a>, which they billed as a set of “simple, powerful tools to help creators make more money for doing what they do best.” The first part of that was the “tip jar,” which allowed video creators to set up donations on their video pages. At the time, Vimeo teased that paid videos were on the horizon. <\/p>\n

A couple of months later in November, Vimeo took a baby step toward that with a pay-to-view service<\/a> complete with six movies released to their Vimeo Movies site. <\/p>\n

Today, Vimeo is launching<\/a> the full video on demand service that will let video makers sell their work on the site. It’s pay-to-view, put squarely in the hands of the creators. <\/p>\n
