No other smartphone company studied by Kantar even came close to matching Samsung and Apple last year: HTC (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=2498.TW&amp;ql=0\">2498<\/a>) spent $46 million, BlackBerry (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=bbry\">BBRY<\/a>) spent $39 million and Nokia (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=nok\">NOK<\/a>) spent $13 million.
