Twitter has appointed Adam Messinger<\/a>, formerly the company’s VP of application development, as the new Twitter CTO, according to his Twitter profile<\/a> and as reported by AllThingsD<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company has been shaking up its leadership recently<\/a> and making new appointments, having\u00a0made\u00a0Ali Rowghani<\/a>\u00a0the new chief operating officer and named Mike Gupta<\/a>\u00a0to chief financial officer position back in December<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Twitter has not yet responded with a comment on Messinger’s new role.<\/p>\n

Messinger was previously Twitter’s VP for application development, and before that he was vice president for development at Oracle<\/a>. Twitter has had a decent run lately on the infrastructure side with its uptime, but is rolling out a number of new product features as it gears up for stronger monetization efforts and a potential upcoming IPO<\/a><\/p>\n
