Per <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2013-03-20\/blackberry-shares-jump-after-morgan-stanley-boosts-rating.html\">Bloomberg<\/a><\/em>, Morgan Stanley\u00a0analyst\u00a0Ehud Gelblum has more than doubled his price target on BlackBerry shares from $10 to $22 and is now projecting that the company&#8217;s profits will &#8220;meaningfully&#8221; increase as <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/01\/17\/blackberry-10-enterprise-adoption-294052\/\">loyal BlackBerry 7 users rush to upgrade to BlackBerry 10<\/a> over the next two quarters. The downside, however, is that\u00a0Gelblum thinks that this boost could be short-lived and that there&#8217;s still a low probability that BlackBerry will emerge as a &#8220;viable&#8221; third mobile operating system alongside Android and iOS. All the same, <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/02\/01\/blackberry-10-launch-analysis-313515\/\">getting a short-term boost that helps you live to fight another day<\/a> is better than outright crashing and burning as some other industry watchers have suggested, so this analysis is still welcome news for BlackBerry.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/oKuqykvknKM\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another day, another reasonably optimistic projection for BlackBerry (BBRY).
