Amazon is said to have increased the screen size in response to the growing demand for larger devices among consumers. The company has also reportedly been working on &#8220;enhancing other specifications of the smartphone,&#8221; which may relate to <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/03\/11\/amazon-kindle-smartphone-delayed-rumor-368081\/\">recent reports of manufacturing delays<\/a>. The Kindle smartphone will presumably\u00a0run a heavily customized version of <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/android\">Android<\/a>, similar to the <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/kindle-fire\">Kindle Fire<\/a> tablet, and <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/07\/06\/amazon-smartphone-rumor-kindle-phone-4g-lte-bundle\/\">could cost between $100 and $249<\/a>.
