In addition to his formal <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/09\/28\/apple-maps-apology-tim-cook\/\">apology to iPhone users over iOS Maps<\/a>, Cook has now delivered an apology to Chinese consumers &#8220;for any concerns or misunderstandings&#8221; stemming from its &#8220;repair and warranty policy,&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.streetinsider.com\/Corporate+News\/Apples+%28AAPL%29+Tim+Cook+Apologies+on+China+Warranty+Policies\/8221322.html\"><em>Street Insider<\/em> reports<\/a>. Cook&#8217;s apology \u00a0to Chinese consumers comes after around a week after China&#8217;s state-sponsored media attacked Apple over its warranty policies for both smartphones and computers. <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.barrons.com\/techtraderdaily\/2013\/04\/01\/this-morning-ebay-csco-cheered-bbry-dell-aapl-scrutinized\/\">Per <em>Barron&#8217;s<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Citigroup analyst Glen Yeung says that even this apology may not be enough to overcome &#8220;the <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/10\/02\/apples-big-headache-in-emerging-markets\/\">impact of this propaganda on Apple\u2019s China market share<\/a>&#8221; and notes that &#8220;if\u00a0Apple were to lose as much as 50% of their China market share, this would equate to ~$13.1B\/$3.62 in revenues\/EPS.&#8221;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/fDQX1fnkDdM\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook has gotten used to apologizing recently.
