The most important factor, writes Sacconaghi, is that\u00a0&#8220;the iPad has stronger global distribution through Apple stores, carrier partners and network of resellers, including third-party retail outlets (e.g.,\u00a0Best Buy,\u00a0Wal-Mart, carrier stores) and third-party websites (e.g.,\u00a0Amazon.com).&#8221; In contrast, the iPhone is distributed by just 240 carriers worldwide, which\u00a0Sacconaghi notes is &#8220;significantly lower than Samsung (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=005930.KS&amp;ql=0\">005930<\/a>) and Nokia (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=nok\">NOK<\/a>), which have essentially global distribution, and Blackberry (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=bbry\">BBRY<\/a>), which is distributed by &gt;2x the number of carriers.&#8221;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/qiceYz5C2t8\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apple&#8217;s (AAPL) iPad has one big advantage going for it that the iPhone can&#8217;t match: it doesn&#8217;t rely on wireless carriers to be distributors.
