RemotePlay<\/a>, the media sharing app that lets you send documents, photos or videos to anyone with a mobile device within the same network, plans to release an iOS version Wednesday that makes it possible to share media between Android devices, iPhones and iPads.<\/p>\n

Users of the iOS app can import media from iTunes, or access content shared by other apps, including Dropbox and Google Drive. I had a chance to try a pre-release version of the iOS app back in March and was impressed by the simplicity of cross-platform media sharing: take a look at my demo video below.<\/p>\n

RemotePlay has been developed by Piddas21, a Taiwanese startup founded by ODM giant Quanta Computer. Piddas21 CEO and Founder Joe Lin told me back in March that the idea behind Piddas21 was to find additional revenue opportunities for Quanta customers who don\u2019t want to just rely on hardware sales alone anymore. Quanta Computer manufactures three out of four laptops worldwide.<\/p>\n
