In <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/news\/bioware-cofounder-says-ps4-and-720-stuck-in-a-sick-market-for-old-school-gaming-6406692\">an interview with <em>Gamespot<\/em><\/a>, Bioware cofounder\u00a0Dr. Greg Zeschuk said that neither the next Xbox nor the PlayStation 4 are likely to fix the &#8220;sick market for old-school gaming&#8221; that <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/01\/11\/nintendo-wii-u-sales-analysis-289621\/\">the industry has found itself trapped in<\/a>\u00a0recently.\u00a0Zeschuk, who cofounded the company responsible for the popular Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, went onto say &#8220;that unless Microsoft or Sony pull something magically out of a hat, it&#8217;s pretty much the same old, same old repackaged,&#8221; and that the new consoles will have a minimal impact on the retail market for high-end games.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/V_q5vJXaeMc\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s not only financial analysts who are bearish on the prospects of new gaming consoles from Microsoft (MSFT) and Sony (SNE) \u2014 gaming industry pioneers aren&#8217;t too optimistic either.
