The Japanese carrier <a href=\"http:\/\/allthingsd.com\/20130415\/softbank-says-still-hopes-to-complete-sprint-deal-by-july\/\">said in a statement to <em>AllThingsD<\/em><\/a> that it believes <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/10\/12\/softbank-sprint-acquisition-analysis\/\">its proposed merger<\/a> offers a superior option to <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/sprint\">Sprint<\/a> shareholders with both &#8220;short and long-term benefits to Dish\u2019s highly conditional preliminary proposal.\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/dish\">Dish<\/a> on Monday challenged <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/softbank\">SoftBank\u2019s<\/a> merger proposition with a bid of its own worth $25.5 billion. The proposed deal values the carrier at $7.00 per share, considerably higher than SoftBank&#8217;s offer of $4.03 per share.
