What&#8217;s more,\u00a0Pachter doesn&#8217;t think there&#8217;s much Nintendo can do to boost sales in the future as the Wii U&#8217;s &#8220;fortunes appear unlikely to improve for several months, even if Nintendo decides to drop [the] price, as there are an <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/04\/05\/sony-ps-vita-nintendo-wii-u-sales-415065\/\">insufficient number of core titles that are generating interest in the console<\/a>.&#8221; In other words, it&#8217;s not even clear at this point that <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/03\/15\/sony-playstation-vita-analysis-374049\/\">issuing a PS Vita-style price cut<\/a> can spark interest in the Wii U until the game selection for the console significantly improves.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/IvuEoaMGdCw\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Wii U has been one of the least successful product launches in Nintendo&#8217;s history\u00a0so far and\u00a0Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter believes that there&#8217;s very little hope sales of the console will pick up anytime soon.
