The private equity firm withdrew its bid after &#8220;discovering that Dell\u2019s business was deteriorating faster than previously understood,&#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2013-04-19\/blackstone-said-to-pull-out-of-dell-bid-on-plummeting-pc-sales.html\"><em>Bloomberg<\/em> reported<\/a>.\u00a0Blackstone previously offered the company $14.25 per share to counter a previous bid from founder Michael Dell and Silver Lake Management&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/02\/05\/dell-acquisition-details-private-316399\/\">amounting to $13.65 per share<\/a>.
