The Blackstone Group<\/strong> has invested in Carbon Black. Financial terms weren’t announced. Sterling, Va.-based Carbon Black, a subsidiary of Kyrus<\/strong>, provides information security technology. Blackstone made the investment in Carbon Black during the fall of 2012.<\/p>\n

Carbon Black, a leading provider of information security technology, announced on Monday an investment from Blackstone (NYSE:BX) that has led to the development and launch of \u201cCarbon Black 3.0,\u201d a 9-in-1 software solution that answers, in real time, vital security and business questions.<\/p>\n

Billed as the world\u2019s first \u2018surveillance camera\u2019 for computers, \u201cCarbon Black 3.0\u201d collects and retains key pieces of information that security and business professionals can use to better understand the safety and efficiency of their enterprises.<\/p>\n
