Berger as its President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as elected him to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.\u00a0\u00a0Mr. Berger\u00a0will be replacing\u00a0Oscar Rodriguez\u00a0who has resigned, effective today, from his position and has resigned from the Board of Directors of Extreme Networks. \u00a0Previously Mr. Berger was at ParAccel, and has over 30 years of experience in the technology sector.\u00a0Prior to ParAccel, Berger served as the CEO of DVDPlay, Nuance Communications,\u00a0Vicinity Corporation, AdForce, and Radius.\u00a0&#8221;I am honored and delighted to join\u00a0Extreme Networks, a premier technology company,&#8221; said Berger. &#8220;I look forward to working with our dedicated employees to continue to introduce innovative products, change the dynamics of the switching market with our SDN capabilities and serve our customers globally.\u00a0 There is a lot to do and I am excited to get started.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.violin-memory.com\/news\/press-releases\/violin-memory-expands-engineering-team-with-former-intel-and-gridiron-executives\/\"><strong>Violin Memory adds executives from Intel and GridIron<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0Violin Memory announced Stephen Dalton\u00a0as vice president of software and Herb Schneider as vice president of hardware.\u00a0Dalton joins Violin from Intel, where he served as GM of Intel\u2019s Datacenter flash (NVM) Software organization.
