The mother of a two-week old baby was shot and killed<\/a> with the baby in her arms, Alabama police say. <\/p>\n

24-year old Sherri Williams was standing in the doorway of her apartment on Monday afternoon when a stray bullet–likely fired by a man who was running down the street–hit her. She died at the scene. <\/p>\n

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them regarding two men who got into a fight at a local store. They believe their altercation led to a chase on foot, and that Williams was in the wrong place at the wrong time. <\/p>\n
