The <em>Journal<\/em> notes that Wheeler in the past has signaled that he would have been willing to approve the now-dead merger between <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/att\">AT&amp;T<\/a> and T-Mobile, which puts him at odds with <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/03\/22\/sprint-genachowski-praise-392617\/\">outgoing FCC chairman Julius Genachowski, who was instrumental in blocking the AT&amp;T-T-Mobile deal<\/a>.
