The Taiwan-based vendor reported six consecutive months of record revenue in 2011 before it ran into <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2011\/11\/07\/iphone-4s-launch-helps-end-htcs-record-revenue-run\/\">a brick wall known as the iPhone 4S<\/a>. Since then, things have been tumbling downhill for <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/htc\">HTC<\/a>, culminating in the company&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/05\/02\/htc-q1-2013-earnings-audited\/\">worst-ever quarterly performance that saw profits plummet 98% in Q1 2013<\/a>.
