{"id":657459,"date":"2013-05-10T17:20:58","date_gmt":"2013-05-10T21:20:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/serkadis.com\/index\/?guid=f51183db139d00217dbeca423f72927f"},"modified":"2013-05-10T17:20:58","modified_gmt":"2013-05-10T21:20:58","slug":"president-obama-explains-how-health-reform-is-helping-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/657459","title":{"rendered":"President Obama Explains How Health Reform Is Helping Women"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p class=\"rteright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=txrpJ6k3OT0\">Watch this video on YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n<p>With Mother&rsquo;s Day just around the corner, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-and-remarks\">President Obama today spoke to a group of women<\/a> &ndash; including many moms &ndash; about the ways the Affordable Care Act is already helping millions of Americans like them.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Women in particular now have more control over their own care than ever before,&quot; the President said. &quot;And I&rsquo;m pleased to be joined today by many women who wrote in to tell us what the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/healthreform#healthcare-menu\">Affordable Care Act<\/a> means to them.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Carol was one of the women who wrote to the President, and today, she introduced him in the East Room. Carol&#39;s son, a 22-year-old college grad and traumatic brain injury survivor with a rare genetic lung disease, was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/blog\/2012\/06\/22\/carol-care-and-justin-care-extending-coverage-parent-s-health-plan\">able to stay on his family&rsquo;s health insurance policy<\/a> instead of being kicked off the plan this year.
