{"id":658398,"date":"2013-05-16T10:11:39","date_gmt":"2013-05-16T14:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.webpronews.com\/?p=230331"},"modified":"2013-05-16T10:11:39","modified_gmt":"2013-05-16T14:11:39","slug":"google-sends-microsoft-cease-and-desist-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/658398","title":{"rendered":"Google Sends Microsoft Cease And Desist Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google has sent a cease and disist letter to Microsoft for building a native YouTube app for Windows 8, and violating its terms of service in three areas. <\/p>\n<p>In the letter, Google explains, &#8220;It appears that the application: (1) allows users to download videos from YouTube; (2) prevents the display of advertisements in YouTube video playbacks; and (3) plays videos that our partners have restricted from playback on certain platforms (e.g. mobile devices with limited feature sets).
