Unnamed sources <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2013-05-16\/time-warner-cable-said-to-weigh-stake-in-hulu-video-site.html\">have told <em>Bloomberg<\/em><\/a> that Time Warner Cable is considering buying an equity stake in <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/hulu\">Hulu<\/a> and &#8220;could offer Hulu to its customers as a bundled service inside and outside of the home with its current products,&#8221; meaning customers could access their favorite shows on Hulu without <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/12\/17\/hulu-plus-3-million-subscribers-256437\/\">paying a monthly subscription fee for Hulu Plus<\/a>. Under the plan being discussed, Time Warner Cable would take a 33% stake in Hulu with the rest held by co-owners Disney, Comcast and News Corp.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/time-warner-cable\">Time Warner Cable<\/a>\u00a0CEO Glenn Britt recently said that\u00a0the cable industry\u2019s \u201cstructure needs more flexibility\u201d and that he wants to offer customers \u201csmaller, more affordable packages\u201d that don\u2019t cost them upward of $100 a month.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/XYjE2aIVzkU\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We may now have a clue about how Time Warner Cable plans to implement its own Aereo-like service.
