Kasey Kahl, who was a contestant on “The Bachelorette” in 2010, was sentenced<\/a> to three years of probation and community service for a felony assault charge stemming from a bar fight last January.<\/p>\n

The 30-year old reality star pleaded no contest to the charges after he was accused of breaking a man’s nose outside a Fresno, California bar. He was also accused of hitting the man’s girlfriend. His attorney, Gerald Schwab, says Kahl could get the charges expunged<\/a> from his record if he does his community service and complies with the terms of his sentence. <\/p>\n

“He does a lot of charity work,” Schwab said<\/a>, according to the Fresno Bee. “He is a good kid with a good heart, he just got himself in a bad situation.”<\/p>\n

The fight allegedly began when Kahl approached a woman outside the bar and began talking to her, but after she told him to “stop talking to her” because she had a boyfriend, Kahl began hitting the man on the face. The woman said she jumped on Kahl to get him off her boyfriend and was hit in the process.<\/p>\n
