Over the past at least six years<\/a> Google has poured more than $1 billion\u00a0into a Hoover\u2019s Dam worth<\/a>\u00a0(2 GW) of clean energy projects, as well as funded a few early stage cleantech startups (and even acquired one recently<\/a>). Earlier today, as part of its first clean power investment in Africa, Google announced<\/a>\u00a0that it has invested $12 million into a solar panel farm in South Africa.<\/p>\n
