However, unlike other forms of organic waste, composing citrus waste isn\u2019t possible, as it contains an antibacterial substance which slows its breakdown.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>However, with thousands of tons of citrus waste produced each year, researchers at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hb.se\/\">University of Bor\u00e5s<\/a> in Sweden were in search of ways citrus waste can be utilized, minimizing its impact on the environment.
