Guess who&#8217;s getting squeezed in the middle?  According to this unsourced report (so, perhaps take it with a grain of salt), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tbiresearch.com\/e-readers-should-drive-profits-for-both-distributors-and-book-publishers-2009-11\" >Amazon is losing $2 per ebook sale<\/a>, because publishers are wholesaling the books at $12, while Amazon wants to keep selling its ebooks at $10.  The conclusion is the same all the way around, however: the publishers are living in a fantasy world if they think that $12 makes sense as a wholesale price for an ebook.
