{"id":72325,"date":"2009-12-17T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-17T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.corporatejustice.org\/Palestine-and-Israel-Workshop,595.html"},"modified":"2009-12-17T03:00:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-17T08:00:00","slug":"palestine-and-israel-workshop-%e2%80%93-making-monitoring-work-strategic-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/72325","title":{"rendered":"Palestine and Israel Workshop \u2013 Making Monitoring Work: Strategic Action"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='rss_texte'>\n<p>Diakonia, Avocats Sans Fronti\u00e8res and Al-Haq have the pleasure to invite you to a workshop about the exploration of strategic legal avenues to address accountability for violations of international law committed in the context of Israel and Palestine.<\/p>\n<p>The event will take place in Brussels on<br \/>\n17 December 2009from 9:00 to 18:00 at<br \/>\nR\u00e9sidence Palace &#8211; International Press Centre<br \/>\nRoom Maelbeek<br \/>\nRue de la Loi 155 &#8211; Bloc C<\/p>\n<p>The workshop is a follow-up event to last year&#8217;s \u201cMaking Monitoring Work\u201d, which brought together Palestinian, Israeli and European Human Rights NGOs and lawyers to discuss strategies to combat impunity for violations of international law.<\/p>\n<p>Last year&#8217;s seminar focused on legal accountability in Israel and on<br \/>\nnetworking between local Israeli\/Palestinian and European lawyers to<br \/>\ndiscuss approaches to enforce international law in Europe. This year, the<br \/>\nevent will address access to legal remedies and strategic advocacy, and<br \/>\naims at consolidating networks and concrete action plans. The workshop shall be conducted, amongst others, by experts on corporate accountability and legal advocacy, offering the participants a valuable<br \/>\nopportunity to network and to engage in discussion with international legal experts.<\/p>\n<p>Please find attached a draft programme of the workshop, the final version<br \/>\nwill be sent to you shortly.
