My PCP recommended I go back on Lantus, which I&#8217;d been on briefly in 2007. My Endo had other ideas, deciding to up my Actos from 30 mg to 45, in a wait-and-see approach. I didn&#8217;t agree, and neither did the PCP&#8230; the PCP took over my diabetic care, and prescribed Humalog 75\/25 instead of the Lantus\/Novolog combo I&#8217;d used successfully before. <\/p>\n<p>I started the new regimen last night, 10 units 15 minutes before dinner. My fasting numbers were previously 160-170, this morning it was 149. I have also discontinued both Prandin and Metformin at the request of my PCP, so I expect that to be part of this equation.<\/p>\n<p>Since it&#8217;s been a while, and since I don&#8217;t remember, can anyone tell me how long it will be before I see results with this new insulin? You may as well throw in any anecdotes you may have about this fine product as well!
