IRS pounces\u201d [NWSunday, Dec. 6], but the greatest shock was columnist Danny Westneat\u2019s efforts to blame this on Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>No, there\u2019s no bias in the printed media press. Westneat seems to have forgotten that it was the Republicans who tried to abolish the IRS in the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>I think the Democrats love the IRS \u2014 the more income they can divorce from American citizens, the more they can spend, and the more they can control our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Conservative Republicans have longed for the day when the IRS remains only as a past nightmare.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014 Richard Monson, Goldendale<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blaming the Republicans I was amazed reading the column \u201c$10 an hour with 2 kids?
